Autism Evaluation
Autism evaluations are typically conducted over an hour long appointment and in person. During the course of the appointment time is spent to better understand current concerns and developmental history. This is done to assess and eliminate the presence of other difficulties i.e. social anxiety, ADHD, sensory difficulties, trauma or sensory deprivation.
In some cases parents may be asked to observe and record symptoms over a period of weeks or months to arrive at an accurate diagnosis.
On evaluation and confirmation of autism there may be recommendation of medication and/ or other interventions.
