Psychiatry with a human touch
From evaluations to ongoing care, our approach blends clinical expertise with empathy, ensuring families feel supported every step of the way.
At STEPS, psychiatric care is about understanding every aspect of the child, adolescent, or young adult in the context of their lives. We follow global standards in psychiatry and bring over two decades of clinical experience to every consultation.
What Psychiatric Care Includes
We work across a wide spectrum of concerns that may appear as psychological, attentional, social, academic, or developmental difficulties.
- Diagnosis and evaluation to uncover the root causes of struggles.
- Medication management when clinically appropriate, and with careful monitoring.
- Regular reviews to track progress and make timely adjustments.
- Collaborative care that connects with therapists, parents, schools, or workplaces when needed.
Who it is for
- Children, adolescents, and young adults dealing with ADHD, OCD, anxiety, autism, trauma, depression, giftedness, and more.
- Adults above 30 years through our corporate programmes and institutional partnerships.
The Process
A typical journey in psychiatric care at STEPS includes:
Initial consultation
A 50-minute session with Dr. Pramit Rastogi, often with both parents and the child present (online or in-person). This helps form a clear picture of what may be driving the difficulties.
Care plan
Based on the evaluation, a personalised plan is designed — which may include therapy, medication, or combined interventions.
Follow-ups
Progress is reviewed regularly, usually every 8 weeks, and care is adapted as needed. Medication is prescribed only when necessary, never by default.
What Distinguishes Us At STEPS
Integrated model
Psychiatrists and psychologists work hand-in-hand, with psychologists supervised directly by Dr. Pramit Rastogi. This leads to efficient and faster, more effective results.
Global benchmarks
Our approach draws from leading international institutes and best practices in mental health.
Beyond medication
Psychiatric care here extends into a child’s ecosystem involving parents, schools, tutors, or extracurricular teachers when appropriate.
Family collaboration
We believe progress happens when care is shared. Parents and caregivers are empowered as co-partners in the entire process.
